My very first batch of Madeleines. :D
If I do say so myself, they are REALLY GOOD. But I attribute that to a great recipe (Rachel Khoo’s one!) and to the extravagant use of butter. YEAPPP. Copious amounts of BUTTAHHHHH.

Old Montreal, March 2012.
Though it was so freezing cold, it was so beautiful. :) In a way, I don’t regret experiencing Montreal though it wasn’t the best month in terms of the weather. It’s a city that has so many facets to it and would be worth being in every single month of the year.

Not very long after lunch *guilt-stricken face* BUT in my defense, it says on the sign outside that it was voted BEST CROISSANT in Quebec last year! :)) so here’s an almond and chocolate one. YUM YUM. (Taken with Instagram at Paillard)
What a perfect lunch! Croque Monsieur with salad. And the waitress was nice enough to give me a cup of green tea for free (or at least I think it is. In Seattle, I met the absolute cutest dog ever. See the one on the right? His name is Newton. :) And he’s the sweetest, cutest old dog ever.
